🪺 Live. Littlebird is on Product Hunt right now. Real-time founder command center — drop the SDK, watch your metrics, get pinged when something changes. We poured everything into this. https://www.producthunt.com/posts/littlebird
09:45D1
One hour in: top comment so far is "this is the Monday morning ritual I didn't know I needed." That framing is exactly the wedge we built around. More updates as the day unfolds.
10:45D1
A founder just DM'd me: "Opened dashboard.html on my phone at 7am and saw day-3 retention dropped 12% overnight. That's a feature nobody is going to charge me for." This is why we built it.
11:45D1
Most useful feedback rolling in: "the metric alert threshold defaults are too quiet." Adding a "did this happen before?" toggle on the alert config tonight. If you've tried it and have a view — DMs are open.
12:45D1
Lunch check-in: 90 signups, signups-per-minute trending above the waitlist baseline. The dashboard we're shipping next month — cohort comparison view — got 4 feature requests in 90 minutes. Listening.
13:45D1
If you're a solo founder who hasn't tried Littlebird yet — the SDK is a one-line <script> tag, instrument in 40 seconds. No warehouse, no data team, no setup call. Just sign up and watch.
14:45D1
Hot take from a launch-day comment: "this isn't really an analytics tool, it's a triage tool." I love that framing. The dashboard doesn't replace your BI tool — it tells you what to look at next.
15:45D1
TIL from launch day: 3 different founders asked about UTM attribution in the funnel view. We have it. Nobody had to ask twice — the dashboard just shows it on the funnel page. We're posting a 2-min walkthrough tomorrow.
16:45D1
PH live for 8 hours. Halfway through. Quick pulse: most upvoted comment is still "this is the Monday morning ritual I didn't know I needed." Second place is the $49/mo flat pricing line. The $49 surprise is real.
17:45D1
If you upvoted us this morning and haven't tried it yet — the link is still live until midnight PST: https://littlebird.ai. Twenty minutes of poking around is enough to know if it fits.
18:45D1
First paying customer came in 30 minutes ago. A 4-person team replacing a spreadsheet workflow. That is the moment that makes 2 years of building worth it. Thank you to everyone who showed up today.
19:45D1
Day 1 numbers (running): 145 signups, 11 paying teams, 412 PH upvotes, 73 thoughtful comments. I'm reading every comment personally. Tomorrow morning I'll post a thread on the 5 things that landed and the 3 things I'll fix.
20:45D1
Closing the laptop for the night. Thank you — to the early commenters, the supporters who showed up on launch day, the founders who DM'd with sharp feedback, and the beta testers whose notes made this thing better. See you in the morning.
21:45D1
Soft-close thread incoming: what's working, what isn't, what I'm fixing first. If you want the unfiltered version before tomorrow's public retro — reply to this and I'll DM you the full notes tonight.
06:30D2
Morning check-in, Day 2. Woke up to a signups-rate that held overnight (no decay through the night). Cohort retention view looks healthy. Pinging the dashboard now.
08:45D2
24-hour retrospective thread incoming. Wrote up 5 things that landed and 3 things I'm fixing this sprint. If you tried Littlebird yesterday and have feedback, the most useful version of this post is the one that includes you.
10:45D2
Day-2 surprise: the "feedback fixed within 24h" promise is paying off. Three users commented on the alert threshold toggle shipping already. That's the loop I want — try it, complain, watch it get fixed.
12:45D2
Mid-day numbers: 220 signups total, 19 paying teams, ~6% conversion. The "Monday morning ritual" framing is the one that converts. Every signup who cited that line on PH has stayed for the walkthrough.
14:45D2
Most-quoted tweet from yesterday: "I built Littlebird for me." It surprised me how many founders related. The Monday morning metrics ritual is universal — the only difference is which spreadsheet holds the pain.
16:45D2
Asking the launch-day crowd: what would make you sign up this week that didn't exist yesterday? I'm reading every reply. The three most-requested features this week get shipped or scheduled before Friday.
18:45D2
Day-2 roundup: 290 signups, 28 paying teams, ~7.5% landing→paid. Top requested feature: cohort comparison view (8 requests). Second: Slack alert channel (6). Third: CSV export (4). These queued for this sprint.
20:45D2
A note to the people who DM'd me sharp critique on Day 1: thank you. The "alert thresholds too quiet" feedback got fixed and shipped this morning. Two more in flight. If you try it again and find new rough edges — I want to hear them.

Re-engagement — "Did you see the launch?"

Hey — we went live on Product Hunt this morning and you've been on my mental list since April. If you have 10 minutes today, I'd genuinely value a "what's the most off thing in this listing?" read. No obligation to upvote, no obligation to write back — but if you're around, here's the link: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/littlebird Either way, your earlier feedback shaped a few things on the cohort dashboard. Thank you for that. - [name]

Re-engagement — "What do you see that's wrong?"

Hi — six hours into launch day, I'm looking for the sharpest critical eyes I know. You wrote the most honest [analytics tool] review I've seen; if you'd be willing, I'd love to hear what's off about Littlebird's framing. Honest takes only — if the listing is great I'll tell you, and if it isn't I'll fix it this week. Listing: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/littlebird. Thank you for being on my mental shortlist. - [name]

Wave 3 · 21:00 D1 · 8 supporters (Tier 3 evening soft close)
Re-engagement — "End-of-day gratitude"

End-of-launch-day note. You were on the list of people I hoped would see this and you did — thank you. Sharing the day-end numbers because you asked good questions during beta: ~145 signups, ~11 paying teams, the dashboard ran clean under load. If you have a feedback note you didn't post publicly, my DMs are open for the next 48 hours. Take care of yourself tonight. - [name]

Wave 4 · 10:00 D2 · all 28 supporters (Day-2 retrospective)
Re-engagement — "What I learned + how you can help"

Day 2 retrospective. Posted it as a public thread earlier, but you deserve the direct version: a few of the things you noted during our earlier conversations showed up in launch-day feedback too — and I shipped two of them overnight. Thank you for shaping this thing before it was public. If you're willing to try the post-launch version and tell me what you see now, I'd love a 5-minute voice note back. No pressure. https://littlebird.ai — [name]

Pattern — "Just upvoted, looks promising"
Warmer thank-you

Thank you — especially for taking the time to upvote after looking. If you've got a minute to drop a "one thing that confused me" comment, I'd be grateful: the second-day feedback window is when we can actually ship fixes before the launch energy dies down. Genuinely open DMs if there's something you don't want to post publicly.

Pattern — "I use Mixpanel / PostHog / Amplitude"
Coexist, don't replace

No argument here — those are great at what they do. The honest pitch is that Littlebird doesn't replace them: it's the layer that watches your live product and tells you what changed *before* you go looking. Most teams we talk to use Mixpanel weekly and Littlebird daily — different cadences, different jobs. They coexist cleanly. If you want a side-by-side on a small test project, I'm game.

Pattern — "What's the SDK footprint / weight?"
SDK performance / overhead

Honest answer: the SDK is ~6kb gzipped, async-loaded, batches events, and runs after first paint. We've been measured at under 12ms added TTI on a mid-tier phone. If you've got a perf budget you're watching, drop your numbers in a DM and I'll send you the actual benchmarks from our last test pass. We'd rather show the receipts than handwave at "it's fast."

Pattern — "Is there self-hosting / on-prem?"
Hosting / data location reply

Today: hosted only. We're a hosted product, data lives on Postgres (Neon) + Render, and we don't store user content beyond the analytics events you push. Self-hosting isn't on the public roadmap, but if there's a reason you can't use the hosted version (sovereignty, existing infra, regulatory), I'd genuinely like to know — that feedback moves the roadmap. Drop me a DM.

Pattern — "Where's the mobile app?"
Mobile / platform limits reply

Mobile app isn't on the near-term roadmap — the dashboard is responsive and works on mobile browsers, but we optimized for the "Monday morning at the desk" experience rather than a native iOS app. If that's a real blocker for your workflow, I'd love to hear why — knowing the use case changes the prioritization. We have a notion tracker for this exact question.

Pattern — "How do you compare to Plausible / Fathom?"
Site analytics vs product analytics

Different jobs. Plausible and Fathom are excellent website traffic analytics — sessions, referrers, bounce rate. Littlebird is *product* analytics — signups, retention cohorts, funnel attribution, in-product events. If you're choosing between Littlebird and Plausible, the question is what you're measuring. We do love what Plausible built, though.

Pattern — "I'm a power user, ask me anything"
Power-user engagement

Oh I will. Top of my mind: (1) where the dashboard falls down for a 50-person team versus a 5-person team, (2) the threshold defaults that feel annoying, (3) any decision you wish the funnel view made for you. If you've got an hour this week, I'll happily trade time for a 30-min walkthrough of your stack. DMs open.

Pattern — "Day-2 critical comment" / bug report
Bug acknowledgement & turnaround

Reproduced locally — you're right, that's a real one. Adding it to the sprint and shipping a fix in the next 24 hours. Will reply here when it lands. Thanks for being specific — a screenshot of state + a sentence on the trigger is more useful than a generic "X is broken", and I want to flag that for everyone reading.

Backup A · "Founder loneliness" angle
Trigger if signups stalled by 14:00

A thread on the thing nobody talks about: founder loneliness. When I shipped Littlebird, the hardest week wasn't the SDK or the dashboard. It was the week I had nobody to show it to who would tell me the truth. 1/6 --- The list of people who'd actually critique you honestly is *short*. Most peers will say "looks great." Investors will say "let's discuss the metrics." Customers will say "I'd use this." None of those are the feedback that matters. 2/6 --- What I learned building analytics for indie founders: the tool that's most useful is rarely the most measurable one. A great dashboard isn't a feature list — it's the conversation you'd have with your data person if you had one. 3/6 --- If you're shipping solo, here's the weirdly effective hack I found: Make a list of 5 people who'd actually tell you the truth. DM them. Ask for the worst part. 4/6 --- I did this with Littlebird over 6 months and the result was the launch today. If any of *those* people are reading this thread: thank you is not enough but it's all I have. 5/6 --- If you're a solo founder who wants the unfiltered feedback loop — Littlebird is free for the first 30 days. The link is in the PH listing. https://www.producthunt.com/posts/littlebird 6/6

Backup B · "What we'd build differently" retrospective
Trigger if ranking stalls in 50-100 range

If we were building Littlebird again from scratch, here's what we'd change. A thread in case you missed the launch-day discussion. (Honest version, no marketing voice — pull this if the listing energy stalls 👇) 1/7 --- 1. Pick exactly ONE wedge, ship it for 9 months, then expand. I added two dashboards in month 3 that we still haven't launched. The funnel view was sitting in a folder, hidden, for 5 months because I was chasing breadth. 2/7 --- 2. Charge more, sooner. We waffled at $29 → $49 → $59 → $49. Every pivot cost a refactor. Pick the price that you'd defend in a podcast, not the one that feels safe. 3/7 --- 3. The SDK should have been the homepage. Not the dashboard. The SDK is the "I dropped it in 40 seconds and it works" moment. We buried it under marketing copy for too long. 4/7 --- 4. Don't wait on the analytics dashboard to be pretty. Ugly-but-accurate beats pretty-but-lying every single time. We lost a month to a re-design that didn't change a single signup. 5/7 --- 5. Find the 5 people who'd tell you the truth. We made a list. We DM'd them. They told us the listing copy was confusing. We rewrote it. The launch worked because they did that 2 months ago. 6/7 --- If you're building something in the analytics / dashboards / founder tooling space — want to compare notes? My DMs are open: https://littlebird.ai/#waitlist 7/7

Backup C · "Show me your stack and I'll show you mine"
Trigger if traffic spike < 2× baseline by 18:00

Show me your analytics stack and I'll show you mine. Going to do this today (Day 1 of Littlebird on Product Hunt) — drop yours in a reply and I'll reply with what Littlebird stacks against it, including where we'd lose the trade. (No affiliate links, no hawking, just a side-by-side exercise 👇) 1/5 --- Rules: I'll reply to the first 50 stacks before midnight PST today. If I don't get to yours by then, I'll write a longer reply this weekend and DM it directly. If you've already tried Littlebird today and want to compare, even better — that's the most useful reply. 2/5 --- My stack as the maker: → Littlebird for daily DAU/retention/funnel + alerts → Plain SQL on the same Neon DB for ad-hoc incidents → Stripe dashboard for revenue That's it. No warehouse, no ETL tool, no BI suite. (Some of you are going to hate this answer. That's the point.) 3/5 --- What I'm curious about: → Are you on a multi-tool stack and which one gets opened first? → If you removed one tool tomorrow, which one would it be? → What's the "Monday morning ritual" that you can't yet automate? 4/5 --- If you want to try the Littlebird side of this thread — the link is in the PH listing. Free for 30 days, no card required. Reply with your stack by midnight PST and I'll trade you a side-by-side. 5/5
